The spirit of Jacobs
… is a feeling that follows you when you leave that cozy campus in Bremen Nord. It’s the excitement you feel when going outside of your comfort zone. It’s the awe that grips you when you enter a part of the world you had only seen in pictures. It’s the innocence that helps you find common ground with those around you. It’s the strength you gain as you become an alumni.
Zain Samdani (Robotics and Intelligent Systems, ‘24), is embodying that spirit as a current student and recipient of the Ronny Wells scholarship. Since joining Jacobs, Zain has started his second company and won the 2022 Microsoft Imagine cup with a solution that enables paralyzed patients. Zain came to Jacobs because of the 110+ nationalities represented on campus . “By the time I graduate from here,” Zain told us, “I will be able to talk to someone from every part of the globe and I will get to know a bit of every culture.” Donations from alumni like you make stories like Zain’s possible. Now more than ever we need to support students as they fill the new university name with meaning and memories. These memories, together with your donations, are the fuel that keeps the spirit alive. |
